Oddity - Port Willunga

Oddity was born from a Year 12 students desire & goal to find an alternative path to home ownership. Mitchell Phillips designer/builder of Oddity created this tiny house as his Year 12 Research Project in 2019. Through this project, Mitchell set about to challenge the norm and to validate 'Tiny Houses' as a real alternative for young people rather than the traditional path of huge mortgages or renting. Mitchell shared his journey through his facebook page CompactDomain and detailed his learning and findings in his thesis.

Mitchell has decided to share his Tiny House with the wider community to provide others with the opportunity to experience Tiny House living and to demonstrate that it is a real alternative for calling home.

Extensive research and many hours were spent by Mitchell designing and building this well equipped and super comfortable Tiny House while studying Year 12.

I hope you enjoy staying at Oddity and all that the beautiful Port Willunga and Fleurieu has to offer. I also trust you take away a sense that 'small can equal big living'.

I have now commenced studying Architecture and plan to evolve my passion for tiny houses as I develop my skills and knowledge.

Keep an eye out for the next project by Compact Domain
